Escape to New York (Part 1)
My apartment now consists of only a couple of pillows, a few boxes, my laundry, and my laptop. I will continue to steal the Internet until I am dragged, kicking and screaming, from this spot, for the first of two nights of “going away” parties.

Somewhat interesting, but nothing new, exactly. Of course I immediately went and applied this to my own writing, and of the longer works I’ve finished, that didn’t have female protagonists, only the novel I wrote barely passed. Just took it again, and got David Foster Wallace, again, so majority wins. I’ve never read anything by Mr. Wallace but his Wiki made him sound pretty cool and apparently he was really good… but then he killed himself… and I just happen to have a very long history with Major Depression. Uh oh?

If this is true, I’m cool with it on a commercial level, but maybe not so much on an artistic level? I have mixed feelings about Mr. Palahniuk.
